The birth of Arthur Edward V. Zealley is registered in the June Quarter 1886 under the Bromsgrove Registration District.

Arthur Zealley was the son of Mr and Mrs A. Zealley of “Denistone”, Bromyard Road, Worcester. He attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1897 to 1900. By 1908 the school magazine gave the information that he had taken his Associateship of the Royal College of Science and had accepted a post as a geologist to the Rhodesia Museum in Matabeleland. He married Rose Middlemiss of Godford St Mary, Wiltshire on 9th March 1911 in Capetown Cathedral by which time he was on the Geological Survey of South Africa, busy prospecting Matabeleland. An entry in the school magazine of December 1918 states that he died at Capteown on his way to rejoin the forces.

Deaths
ZEALLEY.-On the 28th October, of influenza, at Capetown, on his way home, Arthur Edward Victor Zealley, A.R.C.S., F.G.S., dearly loved son of A. and E. Zealley, Derristone, Bromyard Road, aged 32 years.
