Nurses
Nurses tend to be some of the forgotten heroines of war as much today as they were during all conflicts since Florence Nightingale went out to tend to those wounded during the Crimean War. Many were volunteers facing horrific wounds and dangers we can only begin to imagine.
Searching for the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice can be done by surname, nursing service, conflict or nationality. This is an ongoing project so there are many names still to add to the website.
