The following information has been researched by The Black Country Society:
Arthur Wood was educated at King Edward’s School from 1932 to 1940. He enlisted in the Royal Artillery where he became the Battery Commander’s orderly. He was wounded at some point in the Italian campaign and died on 10th September 1943 while on board a hospital ship.
