From the Bromsgrove, Droitwich & Redditch Weekly Messenger 18th September 1915:
INTERNED AT CONSTANTINOPLE
The relatives of Private Ernest Williams 4th Worcesters , of 9 Alcester Road Bromsgrove have been informed by the International Committee of The Red Cross Prisoners of War Agency Switzerland that according to a list received from The Red Crescent Society, Constantinople, Williams was taken on August 6th and had been provisionally interned at Constantinople.  Previous to the war he was in the employ of the Midland railway Company at Saltley.
