Further Information About WHITMORE Albert

Private Albert Whitmore, Worcestershire Regiment, wounded and now in hospital.  One of five sons of Mr and Mrs Whitmore, Wilden.

Albert Whitmore’s death is reported in the Kidderminster Shuttle, 23rd September 1916.

On August 24th the 3rd Worcesters successfully captured the Lemberg Trench in the Leipzig Salient.  They held on against counter-attacks and were relieved on the evening of the 26th.  Total casualties were 234.
