Frank Wheeler enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 24th December 1914 at Winnipeg. On his attestation paper he gave his date and place of birth as 11th January 1891 in Bromsgrove, England and his occupation as a tailor. He gave his next of kin as William H. Wheeler, 78 Broad Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England. Frank was 5 feet 3 and a half inches tall with a fair complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.
