Further Information About WEAVER Frederick Ernest
The following information has been researched by Andy Frisby:
Frederick Weaver was born at Dodderhill Common Worcestershire in 1880. He was the son of William and Agnes Weaver nee Jones. William was a Farmer and then became a milkman. They had at least 5 children:
Agnes Louisa Weaver born 1876.
William Albert Weaver born 1878
Frederick Ernest Weaver born 1880
Amelia Ann Weaver born 1884
Marian Gertrude Weaver born 1888
Prior to enlisting in the army at Aston Fields Worcestershire, Frederick was employed as farm labourer. He was killed at Poelcappelle.
Although he was born at Dodderhill, there does not appear to be an obvious link to the Oddfellows Association. However in the 1891 census, it states that his father William, who died in 1904, was blind. He may, therefore, have joined to raise some money to care for his father.
Frederick Weaver has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Tyne Cot Memorial.
