The following report appears in the Kidderminster Times 16th December 1916:
Private Charles Ward, 16634. Son of Mrs Ward, 10 Victoria Street, Barbourne, Worcester. Killed in November by shell fire. He was previously apprenticed to and worked for Messrs. Phelps and Johnson as a plumber.
