Further Information About VALE Thomas Henry

Thomas Vale was a very good football player who played as right back for the Steatite football team. He was called up in 1941 and after training with the Royal Air Force he was posted with his squadron to a base on the coast of North Africa. The squadron landed their aircraft on the beach and on hot days, the men would jump into the sea to cool off. Thomas Vale was drowned whilst bathing in the sea.
