Further Information About THOMAS Eric Fielder

In March 1938 Eric obtained a Meeke Scholarship in Modern History at Hertford College, Oxford. He was the navigator aboard a Wellington bomber that left Binbrook on a raid to Bremen on the night of 13th/14th September 1942. The aircraft was lost without trace and the names of the five crew appear on the Runnymede Memorial. Every speech day an award for history is still presented at the Royal Grammar School in his memory.
