The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records the first name of Robert Tarren’s mother as Millicent. This is incorrect, her first name was Amelia and people called her Millie. My mother, Margaret, was Robert’s younger sister. His older sister, Doreen, died in Australia; their father, Robert Tarren, outlived all his children and died six months short of his 100 birthday. He was cremated and his ashes were buried along with those of his wife and his daughter Margaret.
