Lizzie Maud Garwood was born in Birmingham in 1914, her birth is registered in the December Quarter 1914 under the Birmingham Registration District.  Her marriage to Albert Phillip Swift is registered in the December Quarter 1939 under the Brentford Registration District.

On 14th March 1945 a flying V1 or V2 rocket made a direct hit on Building 413 at the Ordnance Depot, Northolt. Fourteen people were killed and 110 were injured.
