Further Information About STONE William
William Stone was born in Bushley in 1890, the son of James and Eliza Stone. By 1901 Eliza was a widow and the family were living in Church Street, Bushley. He enlisted in the Somerset Light Infantry on 12th April 1916 at Bristol, later serving in the Royal West Kent Regiment. William did not serve overseas, his service records note that he spent 3 years 44 days from 11th December 1915 until his discharge on 23rd January 1919 on Home Service.
