W. Spalding of Bromsgrove, 241603, Worcestershire Regiment appears in a listing of those who have died of wounds: in the Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 12th May 1917.

The following report appears in the Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 28th April 1917:
Private Walter Spalding of Stoke Prior, Worcestershire Regiment.  Died of wounds 6th April, wounded the previous day.  Resided at Folly Gardens, Stoke Prior.  Son of Joseph Spalding, foreman painter at Stoke salt works.  The deceased, aged 32, was also a painter at the salt works.  He had been on active service since March 1916.
