A newspaper report in the Berrow’s Worcester Journal refers to this casualty as Dick Sherriff and his brother as Frank Sherriff.  A photograph of a Private D. Sherriff of Defford, killed, brother of Private F. Sherriff of Defford can be found in Berrow’s Worcester Journal Supplement, Saturday 26th May 1917, available at Worcestershire Archives.
