Royal Navy Seamen Records:
Frederick John Sanders was born on 21st January 1901, Pershore, Worcestershire. He served as Boy 2nd Class on HMS Impregnable from 9th August 1916 until 23rd May 1917. He joined HMS Marlborough as Boy 2nd Class on 24th May 1917 rising to the rank of Ordinary Seaman on 21st July 1918 and leaving the service on 31st December 1918. Frederick re-enlisted in the Royal Navy on 21st January 1919 for a period of 12 years service. At the time of this enlistment he was 5 feet 1 inch tall with light brown hair, light blue eyes and a fair complexion. Prior to joining the navy he was employed as a Farm Boy. He served as Able Seaman on HMS Marlborough from 28th May 1919 to 1st November 1920, HMS Vivid I from 2nd November 1920 to 10th June 1921 and HMS Fantome from 11th June 1921 until his death in Callan Park Hospital, Sydney, on 12th August 1921.
