On the 1901 census Percy J. L. Sage, aged 6, lived with his parents, John a General and Fancy Draper, employer at home, and Bertha Sage and siblings at 6 Bates Hill, Redditch.  On 1911 census he is now called John Leigh Percy Sage, aged 16, scholar, lived with his parents John Rogers Sage, Draper and Bertha Sage and siblings at 6 Bates Hill, Redditch.
