Information in All Saints Church, Wilden states that Arthur died in the Military Hospital in Bournemouth on 10th August 1916 of wounds received in France aged 19 and was buried at Wilden.
The youngest son of Mr. John Pritchard of Abberley View, Wilden. Joined H.M. Forces in October 1915 and was in France three weeks later. Wounded in the thigh by shrapnel on 4th August and died at Crag Head (Bournemouth) Hospital. Formerly worked at Wilden Iron Works, where his father was employed as tin roller for many years. Buried with full military honours provided by Stourport Home Defence Corps.
