Further Information About PERKINS William Henry
William was one of nine children of Joseph and Ann Perkins. He married Alice Perkins and the couple had 5 children by 1914. He was a friend of Henry Gittus who was also a casualty of the Great War. They lived almost next to each other in Garden Cottages, Marlbrook Lane, Sale Green. The pair enlisted together in the Grenadier Guards at Worcester on 16th November 1914. Before enlisting in the army William worked as a gardener at Himbleton Court.
