….Another brother, Rifleman D. Peabody of the King’s Royal Rifle Corps, who held the French Military Medal and who was recommended for the D.C.M. (note: no official records can be found to support this claim), was killed whilst rescuing wounded comrades. He was the youngest son of Mrs Peabody.
