Native of Stourbridge.
Albert Parton was born on 4th July 1897, the son of Henry Thomas and Emma Parton of Pedmore, Worcestershire. He entered Old Swinford Hospital on 19th December 1905 and he left the school on 11th October 1912 when he was apprenticed to S. Horton, Plasterer.
County Express, 23rd June 1917:
Gunner Albert Parton aged 20 of the Royal Garrison Artillery was killed in action June 7th. He was youngest son of Mrs Parton, Norton Terrace, Stourbridge (formerly of Pargeter Street, Wollescote). He enlisted on August 11th, 1916, and went out to France in March last. Educated at Old Swinford Hospital he was apprenticed to Mr S. Horton, plasterer.
The mother of the young gunner is a widow and also lost her other son in the war on April 1st this year.
