The following appears in the Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 17th March 1917:
Private James Parker of Astwood bank.  No news since he was reported missing in July 1916.  Now concluded that he is dead.  Age 36.

James Parker has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Thiepval Memorial.
