Albert Phillips Oliver was born on 18th July 1892.  He entered the Lower School Form 2 as a Day Scholar at King Edward VI Grammar School on 2nd May 1905.  At the time of his admission to the school his guardian is recorded as Mrs S. Oliver, his father being deceased but had been a Maltster (Proprietor).  Mrs Oliver and Albert resided at Windmill Hill, Cradley.  Albert had previously been educated at Cradley Church of England School (Elementary).  He left King Edward VI Grammar School from Form VI on 27th July 1909 and took employment as a Clerk.

Private, 10th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment; killed in action at Bazentin, France, 5th August 1916.

Albert Oliver has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Loos Memorial.
