Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for navy casualties located in Worcester Cathedral.

Pershore Fields. Royal Marine L. Inf. Nephew of Teddy Nutting in Broad Street. Went out July 1917. Died April 22nd 1918.

Douglas Nutting enlisted in the Royal Marine Light Infantry on 6th July 1917, aged 20.  He gave his occupation as an Engineer Shaper and his next of kin as Charles Nutting, Pershore Fields, Pershore, Worcester.  He embarked with the Royal Marine Brigade on 24th August 1917 and was drafted for the British Expeditionary Force on 6th November 1917.  He joined the 2nd Royal Marine Battalion on 21st November 1917.
