Howard Munn was born in 1894, the son and 4th child of Richard Henry and Elizabeth Jane Munn. In 1901 Richard and Elizabeth lived with their 4 sons and 3 daughters at Clover Terrace, Bromyard. By 1911 Howard was living at Weston Subedge near Broadway and working as a Butcher’s Labourer.
