Gordon Mucklow was born in 1892. He attended Malvern College in House 2 from September 1906 to 1910.

Gordon Mucklow enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 26th October 1917 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada after being called up under the Military Service act 1917 (conscription). On his attestation form he gave his date of birth as 28th August 1892 at Bury, Lancashire, England, His current address as c/o W. Fernie. P.O. Cox 308, Victoria, B.C., his next of kin as his father, Edward Mucklow and his occupation as a Farm Hand. He was 5 feet 10½ inches tall with grey eyes, dark brown hair and a fair complexion.

Gordon sailed from Halifax, Canada on 16th April 1918, arriving in Liverpool, England on 28th April 1918. He was posted overseas on 6th September 1918 and killed in action just 3 weeks later on 27th September 1918.
