Further Information About MEREDITH Joseph

Joseph Meredith came from Lye and attended Wollescote school. He volunteered for the artillery and served in the 24th Battery Royal Field Artillery with the 6th Division. They were in the front line in 1914 at Armentieres and in the Second Battle of Ypres in the Summer of 1915. He was seriously wounded in September at Hooge and taken to a Casualty Clearing Station near Poperinghe where he died on the 25th September.
