Further Information About MAYO Ivor

HMS Bramble was a minesweeper that was escorting a convoy in the Barents Sea when she met the German battleship Hipper. In the ensuing battle she suffered severe damage and was later sunk by the German Destroyer Eckholdt with the loss of all crew members.

Douglas Mayo has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Plymouth Naval Memorial.
