The birth of Arthur Mayo is registered in the June Quarter 1885 under the Pershore Registration District.  Arthur appears on the 1911 census residing in High High Street, Pershore with his widowed mother, occupation given as a postman.

The following information has been taken from Pershore Parish Records, Holy Cross, Film No 216/7, available at Worcestershire Archives:
Bridge Street. 2nd/7th Worcesters. Went abroad October 6th 1916. Killed in Action December 3rd 1917.
