Further Information About MASSEY John Henry

John Massey was the son of the late Frederick G. Massey and Mrs Massey of 5 Mill Road, Stourport.  He resided at Wilden Top and was employed by Mr R.M. Danks of Charlton.  He joined the 6th Worcesters in October and was taken seriously ill.  He was discharged from Devonport Hospital on 29th January to commence light duties, but owing to illness was taken back to hospital where he died suddenly two days later.  He was buried with military honours provided by Stourport volunteers.  Two of his brothers are on active service in France.
