The St Mary’s Church Memorial Book shows Thomas Mason to have survived the war. His address is given as Park Farm Cottages. He served with the Royal Naval Reserve, serving on HMS Venus and HMS Tipperary and was in action at Jutland. Tipperary was destroyed at Jutland and most of the crew killed, but there are records for the crew and the casualties and his name does not appear.
