Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for navy casualties located in Worcester Cathedral.
Alfred Mason was the only son of Charles Ephraim and Jane Mason of 29 Lorne Street, Stourport. An old boy of the National School, he joined the office staff at Wilden Ironworks and was transferred some years ago to Swansea. A popular musician and fairly good pianist, he was of a retiring disposition and much respected by all who knew him. He joined the R.N.V.R. in 1915 and was one of the few saved from the sinking of HMS Warrior at the Battle of Jutland.
