Angus Macalister was born on the 9th June 1879 at Oakford, Devon, the son of Robert and Ellen Louisa (nee Dickinson) Macalister. Siblings: Robert Alexander Downes Macalister, Mabel Adeline Macalister, Blanche Somerled Macalister, Dugald Keith Macalister, Alan Dunbar Macalister, Donald Sempill Macalister, Dorothy Alison Macalister.
