Harold Norman Lloyd was born at Bromsgrove in 1891, the son of John and Ellen Lloyd. Prior to enlisting he was employed as a draper’s assistant.  Harold was resident at Pleshey near Chelmsford, Essex.  He enlisted at Chelmsford.

Bromsgrove Droitwich and Redditch Messenger, 1st December 1917:
News has been this week received of the death of Rifleman Harold Norman Lloyd of the London Regiment who was killed in action on November 6th.  Deceased, who was 26 years of age, was the third son of the late Mr John Lloyd, butcher, and of Mrs Lloyd, St John Street, Bromsgrove.  He was single and had been in the army for about two years, prior to which he was engaged in church work at Chelmsford.
