United Parish Magazine Shelsley Beauchamp and Walsh, September 1916:
The parish has been honoured and it is with pride that we see the mention of Capt. Colville’s name among the many officers and men who distinguished themselves as members of the ‘Mediterranean Expeditionary Force’.
With regret and sympathy we hear that Private Harold Lamb is reported missing.  Our hope is that later the news may come, as of so many others, that he is not dead but among those who, being badly wounded are still alive and making progress towards recovery somewhere in Germany.

United Parish Magazine Shelsley Beauchamp and Walsh, October 1916:
Our hope expressed last month with regard to the safety of Harold Lamb have not been realised, that is, if the further report from the war Office is a true one, he is reported to have been killed on July 7th. R.I.P.

United Parish Magazine Shelsley Beauchamp and Walsh, July 1917:
A large congregation assembled at the Memorial Service held on the 29th May for our brave friends and fellow parishioners who have given our lives for us and their Country in the War.  Since our last Memorial Service, in October 1915, Frederick James Hall, Harry Edwards, Harold Lamb, Abel Badland, John Bilton Ellmer, and Charles Henry Shutt have earned the brave soldier’s grave.

A photograph of Private Harold Lamb can be found in Berrow’s Worcester Journal Supplement, Saturday 9th September 1916, available at Worcestershire Archives.
