Captain Francis Joseph Kinnaird, 4th (Extra Reserve) attached 2nd Battalion The South Staffordshire Regiment, who died on the 6th June, 1915, in King Edward’s Hospital of wounds received in action in France on the 16th May 1915, was the son of the late Mr F.H. Kinnaird, of London. He was born on the 16th March, 1875, and was educated privately. Captain Kinnaird, who had qualified at a school of musketry, and for promotion to Field rank, reached his rank in November, 1910.
He left a widow-Mrs Gertrude Kinnaird, of 16, Titchfield Terrace, Regent’s Park, London-and one daughter. (with photo)

Kinnaird Francis Joseph, Captain, 4th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment, son of the late Francis Henry Kinnaird, of London; born London, 16 March 1875; educated privately; obtained a commission in the 4th South Stafford in 1907; passed the School of Instruction and qualified as Instructor of Musketry; became Captain 4 November 1910; went to France 16 March 1915; was wounded in action at Richebourg, 16 May, 1915, and died in King Edward’s Hospital, London, 10 June, following; buried at Astley, Worcestershire. He married in London, 5 October 1901, Gertrude (16, Titchfield Terrace, Regent’s Park, N.W.), daughter of Robert Green, and had a daughter: Mary Gertrude, born 21 September 1904.
