Bromsgrove School Obituary Records
Lieutenant N.T. King was educated at Bromsgrove School, (1911-1915) and whilst at the School he was a Corporal in the O.T.C. He was prominent because of his keenness in games but his influence was much more than merely athletic. King passed into Sandhurst and in due time obtained his commission in the Dragoons. He had been for some time in France before the opportunity of the cavalry came to do their proper work. During the German “March Offensive” he took part in the plucky cavalry operations which covered the British Army retreat and fell at Moreuil, being instantly killed by a shell. The action called forth the high praise of the Divisional General.
