Mrs D Kettle of Worcester Street, Bromsgrove received a notification this week that his son, Sergeant D Kettle of the Worcestershire Regiment was killed in action on October 13th. Mr Kettle also lost a son in the South African War, Private Alfred Kettle of the 1st Worcesters, who was killed at Wakkerstrom on April 21st 1901.
