Further Information About JORDAN William
William Jordan worked as a mill feeder at Messrs Timmis of Lye. He enlisted at Worcester and was sent to the 14th Battalion of the Gloucesters. In January 1916 they crossed the Channel and went to the Artois sector for front line training. Any front line was dangerous and, although there was no organised military action in progress at the time, Private William Jordan was killed in action on the 27th May 1916. The likely cause of death was shell-fire.
