Resident Lye, Worcestershire, enlisted Stourbridge, Worcestershire.

Harry Jones served in the Royal Field Artillery and was sent to the 48th Brigade. They were serving on the Western Front and fought in the 1916 Battle of the Somme in the area of Delville Wood. Gunner Harry Jones was seriously wounded and taken to the Casualty Clearing Station at Méricourt-l’Abbé where he died on the 6th September 1916.
