Further Information About JONES Eric Rupert Miller

Eric Jones attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1931 to 1938.  He was the only son of Thomas and Nellie Miller.  With a keen interest in flying, he joined the Air Training Corps prior to enlisting in the RAF.  Eric was on a training exercise in a Blenheim aircraft when it was involved in a mid air collision with another Blenheim near Knockaloe, Isle of Man, resulting in the deaths of both crews.  His father was the managing director of Berrows Newspapers and paid for the erection of a cricket pavilion on the Worcester Royal Grammar School Memorial Ground.
