Further Information About JAMES Howard

Appears on the Royal Air Force casualties list for Worcestershire.

The following information is courtesy and copyright of Trinity High School, Redditch and was taken from the Commemorative Memorial Book donated to the school by the RCHS Old Students Association:
Howard James attended Redditch County High School from 1922 to 1927.  He was reported missing from a raid over MAINZ on the 12th August, 1942, and later confirmed killed.

A letter from Reverend W.D. Owen, St Mathias and St George, Astwood Bank, Redditch dated 12th July 1950 can be found within war records held at Worcestershire Archives requesting that Sgt Observer, Howard James, Royal Air Force, service no 2363082 be added to the county roll of honour.

There is a discrepancy between the service no given on Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the letter from Reverend Owen.
