Albert Huxley was born on 11th July 1895.  He attended Badsey Council School from 27th May 1902, it is not known when he left the school.  The Badsey parish magazine of September 1917 reported that Private Albert Huxley had been severely wounded in the neck and in shoulder and was in hospital in France.  In November 1917 the parish magazine reported that Private A. Huxley was now recovered and had been home on leave.  In December 1917 the magazine reported that Corporal Huxley, who had recently been home on leave, had been killed in France whilst on sentry duty.  This was the 3rd death at the front among those employed on Mr Mason’s farm prior to the outbreak of war.  A memorial service for Corporal A. Huxley was held at Badsey on 5th December
