A letter from the Reverend Eric W. Bartlam, The Rectory, Elmley Lovett, nr Droitwich dated 10th June 1950 can be found within war records held at Worcestershire Archives requesting that Hugh William Humphreys be added to the county roll of honour.  The letter states that Sgt Rear Gunner Humphreys, RAF, lost his life over France.
