Further Information About HOULT Sidney Ernest

Sidney Hoult was born in Stourport on 16th September 1894.  He resided at Wolverhampton and enlisted there on the 9th December 1915, previous occupation given as Fitter (learner driver).  He joined at Grove Park on 26th May 1916, embarked at Devonport on the 16th September 1916, arriving at Basra on the 18th October.  He was in the field from 24th February 1917.  On the 8th March 1918 his unit sent on leave to India, arriving back at Basra on the 28th March. He died of pneumonia at the 40th British General Hospital.
