Cyril Hooper married Olive M. Best in 1922. Cyril died aged 32 in 1929 and Olive married George Oliver in 1933. She died in 1935 hence by 1939, Geoffrey and his sister Patricia were living in Kidderminster with their maternal grandmother, Jemima Best.
