Further Information About HODGKINS Frank Grafton
Frank Hodgkins attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1935 to 1938. After leaving school he joined the RAF as an engineering apprentice in 1938. He volunteered for aircrew early in the war and after training in Canada he qualified as a pilot. On the night of 15th March 1944 he was the pilot of a Lancaster bomber that took part in a large raid on Stuttgart. His aircraft came under attack from German night fighters causing it to explode in mid air with the loss of all crew.
