Joseph Henry Higgs was the son of Joseph and Ellen Rose (nee Morris) Higgs. He was baptised on 13th December 1885 at Areley Kings Church; he had 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Joseph Higgs was the son of Mr J. Higgs of Areley Kings. He was killed in action in France on 10th October, aged 32 and was previously employed at Mr Stephen Mapps farm.
