Albert Hicks was born on 15th December 1895 in Ombersley, the son of John Hicks, a labourer, and his wife Mary. John was born in 1858 in Ombersley, Lucy was born in 1862 in Ombersley. John Hicks married Lucy Pardoe on 9th August 1885 at St Stephen’s Church, Barbourne, Worcester:
