Childswickham Man’s Death
Corporal James Victor Hemming, RFA, son of Mr W. Hemming of Childswickham, was instantly killed by a splinter from an aeroplane bomb in France on April 5. He was 26 years of age and single. For some years previous to the war he had been working at Barnsley Hall Asylum.
